As a Cloud Solutions Project Manager / Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and delivering cloud-based IT projects and solutions for internal clients within client's organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, delivery, and post-implementation support, ensuring successful outcomes and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Initiation and Planning:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units and IT teams, to understand project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders.
Project Execution and Delivery:
- Lead cross-functional project teams in the execution and delivery of cloud-based solutions, applying agile methodologies and best practices.
- Oversee the implementation of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to implement cloud solutions, infrastructure, platforms, and services according to best practices and client requirements.
- Utilize your expertise in cloud technologies and architectures to guide technical discussions, resolve technical challenges, and make informed decisions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and optimize solutions
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate regularly with internal clients and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Foster strong relationships with business units and IT teams to understand their needs, priorities, and challenges related to cloud solutions.
Change Management and Adoption:
- Develop and execute change management plans to facilitate the adoption of cloud solutions and technologies within the organization.
- Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users to ensure a smooth transition to new cloud-based systems and processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are a plus.
- Proven experience managing and delivering IT projects, preferably in cloud solutions, infrastructure, or platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with clients, technical teams, and senior leadership.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Agile/Scrum).
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, GDPR) is desirable.
